Senior Family Law Lawyer
Josée Dufour was admitted to the Roll of the Barreau du Québec in 2012, after completing her bachelor’s degree in law at Université Laval.
From the outset of her career, Dufour has focused her practice on family law and youth law as a litigator, which has allowed her to develop strong advocacy skills before the Superior Court and the Court of Québec, Youth Division.
To meet certain specific needs of Verreau Dufresne Avocats’ family and youth law clients, Dufour has also been called upon to handle files in criminal law and youth criminal justice.
In managing her files, Dufour offers a frank, human approach tailored to each situation. She adapts to your circumstances and your needs. She will take the time to explain the court process to you and reassure you as you assert your rights.
In 2026, Dufour completed the PIFE Institute’s training program on the lawyer’s role in the Supervised Family Intervention Process (PIFE). This systemic, interdisciplinary family intervention method is based on a structured protocol focused on the needs of the child, specifically in situations where parent-child contact has been cut off and the relationship is at risk of breaking down during a highly conflictual separation. Training lawyers in this intervention process fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and is an asset in finding solutions to restore the relationship and ease complex conflict dynamics.
Whether for managing your file, representing you in court or conducting negotiations, Dufour’s extensive expertise will give you a clear, honest picture of your situation and highly effective handling of your family matters.
